望みあふるる青春の
健児日毎のいそしみは
邦(くに)と民(たみ)との
富(とみ)の道(みち)

Where rippling waters play，
Famed far and widein story，
And in the poet's lay，
Find another cause for glory
In the youths so fair
Gatheredin the halls of learning,
Mutually to share
The blessings of their country,
Offeringin return
The strength of hope and courage
Whichin their bosoms burn.
